Wednesday, 19 June, 2019: Lima, Peru
Guests flying on LATAM will arrive in Lima this morning and be transferred to Hotel Jose Antonio where they can join those who arrived the night for breakfast.
This morning we'll begin with a walking tour of Colonial Lima, capital of the Vice Royalty of Peru. Visit the historic downtown and appreciate more than fifty monuments and
colonial edifices, such as the Paseo de la República, the San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government
Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, and the Cathedral Basilica.
Admire the “Treasures of Perú” collection, a fine selection of objects made of gold, ceramics and textiles from different pre-columbian cultures at the museum of the Banco Central de la Reserva.

After lunch on the grounds, you'll visit the Larco Herrera Museum. Housed in an 18th century colonial mansion, it is home to one of the the most extensive collections of pre-Columbian art in Peru. It contains fine examples of textile work, as well as the tools ancient Peruvians used to produce textiles, metals, huaco ceramics and gold and silver pieces with semiprecious stones. The Erotic Gallery is always a hit!

Thursday, 20 June 2019: Lima to Arequipa
After breakfast, transfer from Hotel Jose Antonio in Mirafores to the airport for your flight from Lima to Arequipa. Upon arrival you'll enjoy a three-hour
tour of this colonial gem of a city, including the Convent of Santa Catalina, Plaza de Armas, the Jesuit church and its beautifully-painted chapel, then
finally the typical district of Yanahuara Cayma with a magnificent view of the Misti volcano.
Afternoon check-in at the the hotel, where you can take the rest of the day to relax or explore the city.

Friday, 21 June 2019: Arequipa - Colca Canyon - Chivay
Early in the morning after breakfast, we proceed to a wonderful trip to Colca Canyon. We’ll make the ascent from the
road leading along the snowy Yura Chachani Mountain and reach the Natural Reserve of Pampa Cañahuas, a spacious
habitat for Vicuña and Alpacas. Later on, we arrive at the grasslands of Toccra where we will see a diverse variety of
birds. As we pass through Patapampa and Mirador de los Andes, located at 15900 feet high, we will stop to enjoy the
charm of the landscape. Finally, we start the descent to the charming, traditional town of Chivay where we will enjoy lunch, then proceed to our hotel in the valley.

Saturday, 22 June 2019: Chivay – Arequipa, to board Andean Explorer luxury train
Early breakfast to start our journey towards the Cruz del Condor, located 26 miles from Chivay and explore the captivating landscape here on the edge of Colca Canyon. Arriving at the famous Cruz del Condor, we stop for about
an hour to appreciate the amazing flight of many Andean condors, which occurs only in the early hours of the
day. The viewpoint is located where the canyon reaches its greatest depth, so the show is doubly
rewarding. Short walks from here allow us to admire the beauty of the Colca Canyon.
