Complete your South Pacific vacation on Australia's Great Barrier Reef!

The perfect add-on to the Diving For Life event in Fiji is a visit to Australia's Great Barrier Reef. At Heron Island, you can enjoy enjoy world-class diving at a resort on the outer reef, with no long boat rides unlike Cairns or the Whitsundays.

Heron is world famous for its fantastic scuba diving and snorkeling. Experience some of Australia's best dive spots - more than 30 dive sites are available, half of which are only 15 minutes away due to the island's location right atop the outer Great Barrier Reef. This southern area of the reef has, to date, experienced very little coral bleaching due to cooler water temperatures.

Heron also offers many activities for non-divers such as guided island and reef walks, semi-submersible cruises and private beach picnics. An amazing array of animal and bird life can be discovered throughout the year, such as the delightful Green and Loggerhead turtles, nesting during our visit.

At Heron Island, you won't see any buildings above the treeline, as the resort has been thoughtfully designed to blend with the surrounding environment. We've reserved a variety of room types to fit all budgets, and included meals, boat transers to and from the island, and diving packages:

Turtle Room                 $2295 Queen bed only
Reef Room                  $2395 Partial ocean vews
Beachside Room        $2495 Spacious beachfront upgrade
Wistari Suite                $2795 Luxury upgrade with A/C

Learn more about the room types here. All are cooled by natural sea breezes, while Wistari Suites are also air-conditioned.

All rates are per person, double occupancy in US Dollars. Special rates for Australia and New Zealand residents available - contact us for details.

Commission from this add-on will be donated back to Diving for Life for DFL participants who join us on Heron Island.
